What is diabetes? This is diabetes.

November is American Diabetes Month!  Every year the American Diabetes Association has a campaign to help build awareness and understanding of this serious health concern.  This year the campaign is called #Thisisdiabetes.  All month, Neoteric Diabetic Advanced Healing products will be participating and helping to promote this meaningful campaign.  We will share stories and examples posted by the American Diabetes Association and some of our own as well.

What is diabetes? This is diabetes.  The need to check blood glucose levels several times daily, shutterstock_175596047an unwavering commitment to a brisk walk every morning, learning to eat differently orshutterstock_89703592 adapting family activities to be less focused on food, all reflect the daily reality of the disease.  Diabetes affects so many people in different ways.  The American Diabetes Association campaign is an opportunity to experience their challenges.

This month you will see that many of our posts include the hashtag #Thisisdiabetes.  We want to help educate more Americans about the warning signs, effects and treatments available. Awareness and understanding will help those currently living with the disease and may help to prevent the onset in others.

We hope you will join us by sharing information created in the #Thisisdiabetes campaign with friends and loved ones.  For more information and resources visit the American Diabetes Association.  For information on our diabetic skin care products visit Neoteric Cosmetics.
